never look down on someone
[glow=00CCFF,5,300]The[/glow] bright summer sun glowed as the ice crept away at long last. Even through the beautiful, pleasantly warm spring, snow still sank beneath heavy hooves and paws . . . yet now the season of the golden-heat had come upon the Zaburian lands. Caribou munched hungrily away at lush blades of grass, their growing young'uns running around the once-snowy fields. Lemmings and the like scratched at the permafrost, sniffing for danger. In the midst of all of this activity sat a very still, silvery-white shape. The form was lean, a bit tall but not enormouse, with a narrow muzzle and pricked ears. The pretty she-wolf sat silently, the only movement seen being the flicker of her cool brown eye and the slight movements of her sides as she in- and exhaled the air.
The alpha female of Baridiganda let her gaze pan across the grass until she looked up on the still-snowy glacier. Her mother, Sarobando, was buried somewhere along the ice. And from that peak she claimed her territory . . . from that peak her best friend declared his love for another wolfess . . . and from that peak she spoke with the same female, urging her to go back to him after weeks of irate behavior. Tundra Fields meant so many things to her. It was here where she first fought her rival, Kimiko, and it was here also that she met her love, Taka.
Tetesi closed her chilling eye and took in another deep, calm breath. When I die, I want to be buried where I took that last swipe at Kimiko, she declared to herself in her thoughts. She still couldn't believe that her rival had fallen under her fangs, though for a price -- which still wasn't fair to her. An eye for a life. She lowered her head, and got to her feet, trotting over to stand before the Rettilg Glacier. She touched her muzzle to the ice, looking at her sparkling reflection. On the right side of her face were three long scars where her eye would have been. It sure had spoiled some of her good looks. She looked away from the frozen mirror, and then did a double take. There was another wolf in the [glow=00CCFF,5,300]reflection.[/glow]

Dear god
A black cub ran across the Tundra fields, making his way past the Caribou grazing on the grass. His paws leaving imprints in the earth. His body was well built for a wolf his age. Azazel's eyes burned a bright yellow his nose searching the ground. A strange raspy, tone left the wolf's vocals.
"Come out, come out wherever you are..."
The brute's claws sunk into the earth, snorting of annoyance. The wolf was known as Azazel. Son of Aosoth and Fenrir. He came from a minor pack that had died off when the great wars had begun. 'Some pack that was, I'll start my own pack!'
His ears flickered and nose flared as the scent of another wolf traveled in the air. His eyes spotted the alphess in the corner of his eye, grinning. He stared over her shoulder his eyes filled with hatred as he stared at his own reflection. The fae's eyes seemed to have caught the rouge. Azzy backed off the Alphess and snarled.
"Who the hell are you?"
You're stupid...

never look down on someone
[glow=00CCFF,5,300]Tetesi's[/glow] two white ears flicked in surprise, and she whirled around to stare at the ebonite wolf. He looked very mature, but she could tell he was only around two seasons old; definately not old enough to be a challenge. Her mahogany eye glimmered strangely and she dipped her head. "Who the hell are you?" My, he's fiesty, she thought in distaste, all the while struggling to be polite, as that's how the alpha female worked. Cold but welcoming.
"Mine calling is Tetesi, daughter of Zephyde and Sarobando. What, pray tell, is thine?" Bowing lightly, she awaited his name, her words as formal as she could manage. Again, it was another way the arctic cross ticked: formal until you could be friendly. She pawed at the snow for a moment, then slowly circled the he-wolf, avoiding his acid-yellow eyes. "Thou art a bit young to be wandering away from thy parents, young one," she continued [glow=00CCFF,5,300]softly.[/glow]

The summer sun beamed from above and more footsteps came from the distance. A growing chestnut grey blur came at the pair from the direction of Nne Island, becoming closure every moment. Hawk-yellow eyes danced under the sunlight, glinting dangerously as they caught the sight of the young intruder. Taka padded up to Tetesi, coming to stand on her blind side. He gently nuzzled her in greeting while watching the melanistic brute with mild interest.
"Who might thou be?" The alpha of Baridiganda growled, looking over the cub. His voice was patient, smooth and low, just a little patronizing as he regarded the pup. "Thou are not but a pup...what is thy business here?" He said formally, copying Tetesi in manner. Having not heard the way the young brute barked at Tetesi earlier, Taka remained relatively friendly. He looked too young to be much harm and he would not have come along if he were part of a raiding party. Taka glanced at his silvery mate, seeing past the horrific scars to the beauty within, watching her for her reaction.

[glow=00CCFF,5,300]While[/glow] she was awaiting the brute's reply, she heard the sound of padfalls in the grass. Used to the sound of snow crunching beneath paws, she was a bit surprised and turned her head sharply when a being came to her right side. Too late, she caught his scent as she unintentionally bumped her muzzle against his. Taka had begun to speak, using the same formal words she had. Cubs had too short attention spans to appreciate the old wordplay.
Young pups . . . The single thought hovered in her mind for a moment, and she absently licked her mate's snout, asking in a murmur, "Taka . . . the pups are with Yume and . . . Espio . . . right?" She hesitated as she spoke her best friend and loyal beta's name, knowing how much he and Taka disliked each other. She was unsure if it went as far as hatred, but it had driven a cold, onimous rift in the pack.
"He looks to be about our daughters' age, does he not?" she continued, whispering in his ear so that Azazel could not hear. "Perhaps they will become friends, if he joins. But he's not exactly the friendly, sweet type." She looked at the pup with unconcealed amusement. Maybe Yukiko could mellow him up. Arashi'd only make it worse. Tetesi raised her tone, her cold eye digging into his, seeing if he would flinch. "Give us thy answer, whelp." Making direct eye contact had the possibility of upsetting another, and could result in anger. It made most wolves uneasy. Even if her voice wasn't hateful or rude, it wasn't very friendly or welcoming, [glow=00CCFF,5,300]either.[/glow]

Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore...
Azazel Instinctively glared over his shoulder away from the alphess's galre... His orbs swiveled up to the alphess and alpha, unimpressed yet somewhat intrigued, and arched his body in a turn to approach the larger wolves. He sucked in the Alpha's odor, then snorted it back out in a sudden gust of rotten breath like some primordial serpent. Awkwardly his ears cocked back in response to Tetesi's sudden change in her voice, the thin line of his mouth growing ever more constricted as he stood momentarily in silence.
"I am Azazel, Son of Aosoth and Fenrir."
Azazel responded, rather coldly. Aosoth and Fenrir, the memories of those horrid pack alphas came rushing back to him. His parents were dead. They were dead, so horribly dead... Mother Nature never seemed to like him very much anyways.
... Too f*cked up to care anymore.

Taka nodded, frowning slightly as he listened to the spiteful way the pup spoke. He nuzzled Tetesi's neck, breathing in her scent. The brute shifted his position, feeling the warmth of summer beat down on them from the skies. He tilted his head and observed the onyx wolf, wondering why he was here and not with his parents. At Tetesi's words, he nodded again, giving his brush a brisk swish.
"Oh, yes," He growled to her, feeling his heart swell with pride at the thought of his kin. He laughed inwardly, thinking of what chaos the two half-yearlings were causing back at home. "He and Yume are watching them...they're fine Tet... beggin' me to take them with me, but Yumi's responsible." He told her, not using Espio's name. The argument had set a rift between them, a scar yet to be healed. And Taka wasn't too pleased either with the closeness his sister shares with the brute, friends they were.
The chestnut brute turned his gaze and attention back to the young varg called Azazel, frowning slightly as he looked at him. "I am dubbed Taka, son of Arashikumo and Emberpaws..." He growled, trying to be as patient as Tetesi seemed. By the arrogant way the pup retorted, the Baridigandian alpha doubted he was here to join the pack. "Why art thou on these lands? What business may we assist thou with?" He growled softly, formal and as polite as he can be.

never look down on someone
The silvery wolfess growled deep within her throat, still forcing her piercing gaze into the black pup's. She gave a half-frown, half at Azazel and half at Taka's comment. He seemed to have an aggressive behavior, reminding her more of a Volkenonekan wolf than anything else.
Volkenoneka, Tetesi sighed inwardly. Everything had changed in her life. She stared down at the pup, baring her teeth. "Listen, do you want to join the pack, have a warm den, hunt with other wolves . . . or do you want to get chased off of our territory?" She got to the point quickly, abandoning her formal calmnes and adopting a more impatient behavior.
She gave Taka a swift lick to let him know there was nothing to worry about, and added with a tiny smirk of apology. "I am Tetesi, daughter of Zephyde and Sarobando."

[[ Tet, I warned you not to post. -.- You make fox mad. ]] Poisoned to my rotten core
The wolf's heavy shoulders hunched and his head lowered to tense his muscles, pointed ears jutting up and at attention. Dangerous yellow eyes glared in silent hatred toward Taka.
"I don't need assts-assti-help. I can take care of myself!"
He grunted coldly, malicious yellow eyes glinting and every bit as deadly as his mother's. A low rumble writhed in his throat as he slowly rose from off his belly and midway to his haunches. A revolted sneer warped his lips, peeling there viscous sheathes from over his canines. He aimed a disdainful snort toward the alpha and wrinkled his nose in disgust. He seemed almost embarrassed that he couldn't say "assistance", Keyword, almost.
----
The wolf pup stared numbly ahead, yet still absorbed every single drop of what the female had to say even though it looked like quite the opposite. Azazel's lips tugged at both corners as he began to ponder. 'I have nowhere else to go...' His head twitched at the question and rudely snapped back into the world.
"Sounds fine to me."
'The pack better not be like these two. Good god, they seem more useless then humans.' He growled to himself.
Too f*cked up to care anymore.

The chestnut grey brujo looked a bit startled as the pup agreed so willingly. It was rather odd that after their spiteful conversation, he would be so cooperative. Taka studied Azazel again, now really wondering where his parents were. He didn't say anything however, offering the obsidian pup a warmer grin. Looking to Tetesi, he gave a single wag of the tail.
"Let's go then..." He growled, then looking at his silvery mate. Tilting his crania, he peered at her questioningly. "Unless you have other business, Tetesi?" He wondered what she was doing out here in the first place. Perhaps she was hunting, he thought though it did not look like she was at all. Taka sighed and turned his gaze back to the young wolf, nodding at him. "So...are you hungry, Azazel?"
He tried to sound warm and welcoming, hoping that Azazel would respond the same way. He was going to offer for them to hunt as the pack was in need of some meat. Yume and the pups needed to eat and Tetesi needed to get back to Arashi and Yukiko. And as for Espio...he can go to hell.
OOC//: This is really short but I'm short on muse and I've just spent an hour putting together that image thing for you guys. So don't whine...

never look down on someone
The alphess eyed the whelp coldly, licking her fangs a little. It wasn't in her nature to be so could, but this stupid pup really frinked her off. She closed her eye for a moment, taking in a deep breath, and leaned toward him, smiling cruelly.
"Listen, Azazel," she murmured with a dark hint in her tone, "we can either all be nice friends, and hunt for each other . . . or this tundra can be stained red with disrespectful, haughty blood." She stood back, flicking an ear. She was unsure if she really meant it -- Tetesi had never dared harm a young one before -- but if this cub kept it up he would at least be chased out.
I'm sorry, Taka, she thought, looking at her mate with a half-smile. She pressed her muzzle against his and backed away, shaking herself. "You go on . . ." She then trotted away, a distant, pensive look in her eye, and stood in the same exact spot she was in when she first faced Kimiko.

Always want to play
Azazel's muzzle wrinkled and flashed his own array of weapons, this time adding a hoarse growl he summoned from deep within against alphess's threat. The snarl melted into an apathetic line and his eye ridges contorted in what could only be described as a 'You have to be f*cking kidding me' expression.
But Never want to loose

Hawk-yellow optics glimmered and widened in surprise but the moment's lapse in tension on Taka's face was quickly hidden again as he stared at Tetesi. Glancing quickly at Azazel, he groaned inwardly. Tetesi had never acted this way before and he was shocked. Wait, she's not...no, He shook himself, chasing away the thought that she was pregnant again. She couldn't be...they didn't... He shuddered slightly but frowned at his silver pelted mate.
"Tetesi..." He growled softly so that only she would hear his reproachful tone. Speaking at normal volume again, he looked at the charcoal pup. "Come on... unless you'd rather stay and...err let blood stain these grounds?" Taka glared half-heartedly at the inpudent whelp before looking at the femmora again, fur bristling uncomfortably. The alpha brute sighed and casted Azazel an impatient look. "What rank?" He said shortly with a touch of annoyance in his voice. Nothing fancy, just the cruel basics.
Tetesi was the one to test new comers for ranks usually, but at the moment, she didn't look the mood. He gazed at the dark furred wolf, staring him straight into the eye until one of them looked away. It was uncommon for pack wolves to do so as it irritates them. But now, Taka looked directly into the yellow depths of the rude pup's oculars and glared in an intimidating manner, trying to delay unnessecary violence.

ooc | You really need to lengthen your posts, Fox. That one was only fifty-something words . . .
[glow=00CCFF,2,300]never look down on someone [/center][/color][/glow] The icy femme continued to stare at the grassy earth, although her white ears flicked toward the males'. She finally stood up and -- with a seemingly normal smile -- sat beside Taka, completely ignoring his words. A cruel smirk crept across her muzzle, and she leaned forward so that her nose was touching the whelp's ear. She murmured so softly that only Azazel could hear, "Listen; I'm not stupid, cub. I can tell -- easily -- that you think lowly of me. The last one who thought me inexperienced and worthless had her throat ripped out . . . and the lives of her family taken in a heartbeat after."Tetesi pulled back, sneering down at him, when she turned to look up at her chestnut-hued mate. The mood swings she had suffered from her pregnancy weren't truely gone . . . yet were changed. She lived for Taka, for her friends Espio and Yume, for her lovely daughters, for the orphan Chafua, and all of her pack that respected and followed her. Any other wolf not under her leadership completely . . . she showed her cruel, cold side to if they weren't respectful. Right now she didn't care if she were risking her life doing so. Her silver-tinged tail swept across the ground in a slow wag, and she nuzzled Taka's shoulder, blinking at the pup. Her eye emotionless but cold, she said, "I want to test this one, Taka. But he is just two seasons -- as old as Yukiko and Arashi. When the time comes, though -- when he's a year -- then I will test him to be a warrior. Take him back to the camp, and introduce him to our pups." Her claws scratched at the dirt, kneading it with her paws. When the time came . . . she wanted to fight this brat herself.
